Maintenance Assistant Silvercrest of Urbana | Urbana, Ohio Join the Silvercrest of Urbana Team! Silvercrest of Urbana is looking for a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This position supports the Maintenance Director in keeping the facility safe, clean, functional, and comfortable for our residents, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do Assist with routine building and equipment maintenance. Complete general repairs and upkeep throughout the facility. Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents. Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and inspections. Perform basic painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and other general maintenance tasks as appropriate. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner. Assist with groundskeeping, seasonal upkeep, and snow/ice removal as needed. Help maintain maintenance records, supplies, and equipment. Follow all facility safety procedures and regulatory requirements. Support the Maintenance Director with projects and other assigned duties. What We're Looking For Previous maintenance, construction, handyman, or related experience preferred. Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair. Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
