Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building interior systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and hand tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Conduct repairs on electrical systems, including wiring, switches, outlets, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Maintain facilities equipment such as HVAC systems, plumbing systems, lighting fixtures, and building interior components. Carry out maintenance painting projects and carpentry tasks to ensure the aesthetic and structural integrity of the facility. Use tools like ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices to diagnose problems accurately. Support maintenance painting projects with residential or commercial painting techniques as needed. Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a secure work environment. Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring or mechanical systems to facilitate repairs or upgrades. Assist with plumbing system maintenance including repairs to pipes, fixtures, or drainage issues. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants. Lead small teams or collaborate with colleagues on complex repair projects when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in general maintenance roles with knowledge of facilities maintenance operations. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and electrical testing devices like ohmmeters. Familiarity with HVAC systems repair and troubleshooting techniques; HVAC certification is a plus. Ability to read schematics for electrical wiring or mechanical systems accurately. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable but not mandatory. Proficiency in plumbing system maintenance including repairs to pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems. Skilled in carpentry tasks such as framing, drywall repair, or finishing work; residential painting experience is advantageous. Electrical experience including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, electrical equipment repair, and basic electrical work. Knowledge of maintenance painting techniques for building interiors or exteriors. Ability to operate various hand tools safely and effectively while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members. Leadership qualities that enable effective supervision or mentorship of junior staff when required.
