Job Description

Job Overview The Maintenance department oversees the daily operations of Facilities Management within the community and throughout its grounds. The primary objective is to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents. Achieving this requires comprehensive knowledge of building systems and applicable code requirements. These systems encompass plumbing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and equipment maintenance and repair. The role demands a collaborative team player with strong organizational and time management abilities, a commitment to supporting individuals with mental disabilities, and a positive, solution-oriented approach to working with all team members to fulfill the community's goals.
Essential Job Functions:
Demonstrates an understanding of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance Experience preferred in maintaining water source heat pumps, as applicable Possess an understanding of OSHA and life safety regulations Responsible for daily department operations
Requirements:
High School diploma / GED preferred. Ability to handle multiple priorities Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication Competent in organizational, time management skills Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all community procedures and guidelines and having the ability to follow through on assigned tasks and demonstrate initiative.
