Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep, safety, and overall appearance of our assisted living community. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a comfortable, well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities Assist with routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders Ensure resident rooms, common areas, and grounds are safe and well maintained Assist with preventive maintenance programs and inspections Support move-ins and move-outs as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in an organized manner Follow safety guidelines, infection control standards, and facility policies Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior maintenance experience in assisted living, healthcare, or apartment settings preferred Basic knowledge of building systems and general repairs Ability to lift, push, or pull up to [weight requirement] Reliable transportation and strong attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional, respectful interaction with residents and staff Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb as needed Ability to safely operate hand and power tools Ability to respond to emergency maintenance needs
