Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Yard Person and Maintenance Helper to join our team in a full-time capacity. This dynamic role involves maintaining outdoor spaces, operating groundskeeping equipment, and assisting with various maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, attractive, and well-functioning environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for outdoor work, possess a strong work ethic, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in landscaping, grounds maintenance, and general property upkeep. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently Assist with installation and repair of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns Conduct plant identification and pest management activities following safety protocols to protect landscape health Support snow plowing, tree trimming, gardening, and other seasonal outdoor projects as needed Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, and equipment while adhering to safety standards Assist with construction or hardscape projects including minor repairs or installations around the property Requirements Prior outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping equipment Strong understanding of horticulture principles including plant identification and pest management Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery safely and effectively Knowledge of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and equipment use Experience with lawn care practices such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and watering systems Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in grounds maintenance Join our team today to play a vital role in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces while gaining valuable experience in groundskeeping and property maintenance!
