In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of residential rental properties. Your energetic approach and technical expertise will ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and welcoming for tenants. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in facilities maintenance while contributing to a positive living environment for residents. Duties Perform routine inspections of rental units and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards Conduct repairs on plumbing systems, electrical equipment, HVAC systems, and building interior components using hand tools and specialized equipment Assist with carpentry tasks such as repairs or installations of doors, cabinets, and fixtures Maintain facilities equipment including schematics, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC units to ensure optimal operation Support painting projects including residential painting and maintenance painting to improve property aesthetics Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively Collaborate with supervisors on maintenance planning, supervising junior staff when necessary, and ensuring compliance with safety standards Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities using schematics and technical documentation Support plumbing system maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring all systems operate efficiently Assist with building interior maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, flooring fixes, and general cleanliness Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field within residential or manufacturing environments Hands-on knowledge of electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC system repair, and mechanical systems Familiarity with schematics, electrical equipment repair, maintenance painting, carpentry, and plumbing system maintenance Experience working with hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools, and maintenance R&O (repair & operations) procedures Supervising experience is a plus; ability to lead small teams or projects is highly valued Strong mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to assist tenants effectively Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC systems including troubleshooting and repair techniques Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and coordination with team members What We're Looking For Willingness to Learn
