Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and mops. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and general facilities upkeep to ensure operational efficiency. Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools. Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injury. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces and ensuring trash removal is completed regularly. Assist with special projects like residential painting or porter duties as needed to support overall facility management. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work within commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and custodial equipment operation. Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow chemical handling safety procedures. Physical ability to perform lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a safe work environment. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude towards assisting staff and visitors when needed.
