This is a great opportunity for someone looking to earn additional income while putting their general maintenance and repair skills to work. This position is intended to be full-time; however, flexible hours and part-time scheduling may be considered for the right candidate. The Property Maintenance Technician will help maintain rental properties, respond to maintenance needs, complete repairs, and ensure properties remain safe, functional, and well maintained. The position also involves building positive working relationships with staff, current tenants, and prospective tenants.
Responsibilities may include:
Inspect properties and complete maintenance requests in a timely manner Perform general building repairs, including doors, windows, walls, painting, and other routine maintenance Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance involving plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems Complete property turnover maintenance between tenants Identify and address potential safety and security concerns Perform preventative maintenance to help reduce future repairs Assist with landscaping, snow and ice removal, and pest control as needed Coordinate deliveries and work with vendors and suppliers Maintain inventory of maintenance, cleaning, and repair supplies Maintain company vehicles and equipment Keep accurate records, receipts, inspection documentation, and maintenance paperwork Communicate maintenance concerns and needed repairs to the Property Manager Be available for occasional after-hours or weekend on-call needs
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable handling a variety of general property maintenance and repair tasks. Someone with experience in building maintenance, construction, property management, or general handyman work would be a great fit.
