Building Maintenance Monaca, PA 6 DAYS AGO 22729626 Summary Monaca, PA In-Person $15.71 - $22.84 per Hour 3 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description The Building Maintenance position is responsible to recognize and complete required actions to ensure the health, safety and continued operation of worksites in accordance with regulations and best practices. This ideal candidate will be a flexible, self-directed individual who can work independently and as part of a team and interact effectively with a variety of individuals to complete general and corrective maintenance duties safely and efficiently. The position requires practical skills in building systems, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly. By maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality, the Building Maintenance professional plays a key role in supporting the success of Head Start services in Beaver County.
What You'll Do:
Open and close corporate buildings while ensuring the security of all doors, windows, and facilities. Install, inspect, repair, and maintain playground equipment. Perform general maintenance and repair work, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and roofing projects, to maintain safe and functional facilities. Assist with or lead maintenance and construction projects as assigned. Demonstrate and follow proper safety procedures and the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Load, unload, transport, and deliver equipment, materials, and supplies to agency locations. Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, materials, and supplies. Inspect facilities, equipment, and tools, and report maintenance or replacement needs to the supervisor. Perform grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weed control, landscaping, removal of debris from sidewalks and parking areas, and routine preventive maintenance and facility inspections. Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, parking lots, and other walkways using hand tools and power equipment. Accurately complete required documentation, including work orders, timecards, inspection reports, and other records.
What We're Looking For:
A minimum of a Technical Certificate, or Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in building trades or a related field is preferred and a minimum of 1 year experience in general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing and/or electricity. OR A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of experience in general maintenance. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass required clearances
