Job Description

Property Maintenance Technician Pittsburgh Area, PA Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Property Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of residential housing properties. This position is responsible for completing repairs, preventative maintenance, inspections, and tenant service requests while ensuring properties remain safe, functional, and well maintained. Experience working with Section 8 housing programs is highly preferred.
Position Details Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday or Monday - Thursday (four 10's) Full-time opportunity with a single local property management client. Independent field-based maintenance work. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential properties. Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues. Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and prevent future problems. Repair drywall, flooring, doors, windows, and other building components. Complete painting, caulking, and cosmetic improvement projects. Respond to maintenance work orders and tenant service requests. Maintain accurate records of completed repairs and inspections. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Required Qualifications Previous property maintenance, building maintenance, apartment maintenance, or general maintenance experience preferred. Ability to perform basic drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Valid driver license required. Preferred Experience Experience working with Section 8 housing properties or housing authority programs. Residential property maintenance experience. Experience coordinating repairs in occupied rental properties. Knowledge of housing inspections and compliance requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance materials and equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in varying environments. Ability to safely perform physical maintenance tasks throughout the workday. #3245LI
