Company vehicle and tools are provided for work hours with pick up and drop off at regional office in Sellersville. The Maintenance Assistant will work in a variety of locations, primarily residential group homes in Upper Bucks and Montgomery Counties and 2 program/office buildings. Within the guidelines set by the Building and Grounds Supervisor, prioritize work requests, schedule and complete maintenance requests. Will complete all necessary safety and maintenance needs in compliance with State and Company Regulations and be responsible for performing various semi-skilled tasks in the area of hazards and precautions in maintenance, repair work including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, mechanical, and maintenance of machinery, fire systems, buildings and equipment. Will be available for immediate maintenance needs as they arise. The right candidate will learn and be knowledgeable of consumer rights and ensure an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all consumers in a safe, secure environment; use tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations; promote positive public relations with consumers, family members and guests.

Qualifications:

At least one year experience working in the field of maintenance including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical and repair work At least eighteen (18) years of age Valid driver's license with 3-year clean driving record High School Diploma/GED Ability to walk, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing 50 pounds Ability to read and comprehend English language to understand work assignments, LifePath policies and procedures, and perform job safely
