Responsibilities for
Maintenance Assistant:
Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns. Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment. Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly. Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment. Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned. Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications for
Maintenance Assistant:
High school diploma or equivalent required. One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades). Skilled nursing facility experience preferred. Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
