A Journey Maintenance Specialist may:
Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, makes adjustments, repairs and/or performs preventative maintenance on computers, vehicles, equipment, or machinery, etc. Provides technical consultation to originators of project job orders, including development of project plans and related estimates. Builds, fabricates, or repairs structures, equipment, and/or miscellaneous articles from verbal instructions, blueprints and/or working drawings. Welds, solders, brazes, grinds, and/or fabricates various materials. Paints, finishes and refinishes wood, metal and other materials. Performs general facility maintenance including painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, as well as general cleaning and sanitation. Performs related plumbing, mechanical, painting and pipe fitting, etc., duties. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications The best qualified candidate for this position will have 3 or more years of experience in facility/building maintenance or an equivalent combination of relevant education, trade school experience, or other hands-on mechanical and/or electrical systems maintenance experience may be considered in place of the facility/building maintenance requirement. Preferred Qualifications Preference may be applied to applicants who reside within 50 miles or 1 hour travel time to our location. Additional points will be awarded to candidates with experience in: Electrical systems. Heating and cooling systems. Culinary and waste water piping systems. Reading schematic drawings. Working with computer controls Supplemental Information Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined areas, bend and crouch and work with hazardous chemicals.
