This classification is subject to the Post and Bid process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire. The reporting location for this position is 4940 Lang Avenue in McClellan, CA. This position will work under the direction of Park Maintenance Chief I. The Park Maintenance Worker II (PMW II) works as a lead person and performs skilled and semi-skilled work in order to maintain and improve land structures and facilities. This position is required to work nights, weekends, and odd hours as well as overtime for the accomplishment of assigned tasks. This position will also spike camp outside at work sites throughout the state in designated areas. Training and Development Assignments may be considered. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. The incumbent's work schedule will be Wednesday to Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Extensive travel is required for long-term project coordination at various State Parks. Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle. Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) 599.961, this is a sensitive position, and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing. It should be noted that testing is not mandatory but is allowed to be conducted only if and when there is a determination of reasonable suspicion as defined in

CCR 599.962.

Working Conditions This position requires extensive travel and long-term project coordination at any State Park. This position is required to work nights, weekends, and off hours and overtime in accomplishment of assigned tasks. This position will spike camp at worksites throughout the state. Remote work locations, 8 or 10 day work assignments, overnight travel and spike camps are expected.
