Role:
Salishan Leaseholders, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Seasonal Facilities Assistant to support daily operations of the pool, recreation amenities, and common areas throughout the summer. This hybrid role blends recreation oversight with light maintenance and janitorial support, helping ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming experience for all residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pool & Recreation Oversight Record and maintain pool chemical levels; report issues to the Maintenance Manager. Cover the pool nightly to maintain temperature and cleanliness. Maintain pool hours as directed by the Manager. Balance and track daily swim fee receipts if applicable. 2. Facilities & Maintenance Support Assist with mowing, weed eating, blowing roads, and trimming brushes and trees. Support light maintenance tasks and special projects, including gravel road projects. Assist with janitorial duties in the clubhouse, locker rooms, and common areas. Support general upkeep and light maintenance of community facilities and recreation equipment. Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of walking paths, tennis courts, and other recreational spaces. 3. Safety & Reporting Conduct regular walkthroughs of facilities to identify and report safety or maintenance issues. Follow safety protocols and escalate concerns to the Manager or Maintenance Manager. Assist in incident documentation when necessary.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in recreation, customer service, or general maintenance preferred. Basic understanding of or willingness to learn pool operations and chemical handling. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow instructions. Comfortable engaging with residents and enforcing facility policies as needed. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to work outdoors and indoors for extended periods. Able to stand, bend, and walk frequently throughout a shift.
