Maintenance Worker (Public Services) Aiken, SC 29801 From $15.20 an hour - Full-time From $15.20 an hour - Full-time The City of Aiken is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our Public Services Department.

Examples of Duties :

Installation and maintenance of seasonal flowerbeds General landscaping maintenance Performing manual labor and related duties Installs sod, trees and various other plants Applies pesticides and herbicides Operates chipper and a variety of commercial mowers and small engine hand tools Employee is subject to performing all maintenance work within the Public Services department, including but not limited to grounds maintenance, yard debris collection, solid waste collections, janitorial services, etc. Works in inclement weather. Teamwork is an essential function of the job and at times it may be required that the candidate work outside the Grounds Division.

Minimum Qualifications:

A working knowledge of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees is preferred Experience with tractor/large equipment is desirable. Candidate must be able to read and write, as well as understand and follow verbal instructions Must have a valid state driver's license.

Schedule:
