Job Description
Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a client in Darlington, SC. This role supports the Maintenance Department by assisting Maintenance Technicians with equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, safety, and overall equipment efficiency. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and works closely with Maintenance Technicians and management. This is a Direct Hire position! Responsibilities Learn the operation and maintenance of production equipment, including Baler, Guillotine, Shredder, EREMA/VACUREMA, and other heavy machinery. Assist Maintenance Technicians with repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Learn and safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting and corrective actions. Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports. Follow written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Support the Maintenance Department with additional duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication, time-management, and organizational skills. Good attention to detail and willingness to learn. Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred. Trade school or technical training is a plus. Previous maintenance or industrial experience is helpful but not required.
