Job Responsibilities Supervises, reviews, and coordinates maintenance work being performed within the county. Reviews and finalizes daily reports, work requests, time and leave records, facilitates disciplinary actions with crew supervisor, and prepares ratings on employees under their supervision. Works and assists the Resident Maintenance Engineer and Assistant Resident Maintenance Engineer with planning, organizing, supervising and inspecting major projects. Inspects and assesses work requests, complaints and any special requests and coordinates maintenance work with the crew supervisors. Responsible for ensuring crew supervisors are implementing the appropriate safety procedures needed for daily tasks, work zone, flagging, CPR, and First Aid. Supervises, reviews, and coordinates operations with RME and ARMEs during emergencies and/or hazardous weather. Ensures crews are following Snow/ Ice, Hurricane, and Debris management plan correctly. Performs and oversees on-call after-hour emergencies. Works with District, RME, and ARMEs on business plans, office priorities, and District priorities. Assists in the investigation of damage claims and submits recommendation to ARME. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum and Additional Requirements Five (5) years of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.

Necessary Special Requirement:

A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required. Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of placement in the position. The physical demands for the essential functions involves bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Walking for extended periods, treading rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards. May be required to work outside normal scheduled work week; especially during inclement weather.
