About the job Charter Vista Landscaping, located in Hilton Head, SC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Mechanic/Landscape Equipment Technician! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced, service-focused organization.
Pay:
$25.00- $30.
Summary:
Charter Vista Landscaping is seeking a full-time Mechanic/ Equipment Technician. This hands-on position plays a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on the equipment fleet, helping ensure the properties remain in excellent condition. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, takes pride in quality workmanship, is willing to take ownership of the equipment fleet, and enjoys working as part of a team dedicated to excellence.Key Responsibilities:
Assists with inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining golf course maintenance equipment and small engines Performs routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and equipment inspections Helps set up, adjust, and maintain mowing equipment to ensure high-quality playing conditions Troubleshoots hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and mechanical systems under the guidance of experienced staff Responds to equipment breakdowns and assists with repairs to minimize downtime Keeps the equipment maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe Maintains accurate maintenance records and communicates equipment issues with the team Follows all company, manufacturer, and OSHA safety policies and procedures Works closely with the Division Managers.Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in mechanics, equipment maintenance, or working with engines Previous experience working on automotive, diesel, lawn equipment, farm equipment, or small engines is required. Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn Ability to use basic hand and power tools or a desire to learn Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and problem-solving skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Passing an MVR check is required.Perks:
