Job Description

The Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the hotel property, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. This role involves a mix of preventative maintenance, repairs, and responding to guest service requests, contributing to a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance:
Performing general maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, pool maintenace and maintenance of PTAC's.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conducting scheduled inspections and maintenance on equipment, systems, and facilities to prevent breakdowns and prolong their lifespan.
Guest Service Requests:
Responding promptly and efficiently to guest requests for maintenance and repairs.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and inspections.
Safety and Security:
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and upholding safety standards.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, PTAC's and fixtures.
Collaboration:
Working with other hotel staff and departments to identify and resolve maintenance needs.
Special Projects:
Assisting with hotel improvement projects and tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical Aptitude:
A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, PTAC's and plumbing systems is essential.
Troubleshooting Skills:
The ability to diagnose and repair a variety of issues is crucial.
Customer Service:
Providing excellent service to guests is a key part of the role. Attention to
Detail:
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring thoroughness in all tasks is important.
Physical Stamina:
The ability to perform tasks that may involve climbing ladders, lifting, and working in various conditions.
Communication Skills:
Effective communication with guests, colleagues, and management is necessary.
Experience:
Prior experience in a maintenance or related role is required. .
