Posting Text Dakota State University is seeking applications for a full-time Building Maintenance Specialist

•Electrical. The position will report to the Assistant Director of Facilities Trade.

Responsibilities:

Repairing or replacing electrical fixtures.

Replacing fuses, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, and ballast.

Replacing belts, motors, and bearings on appliances and equipment.

Oversee warranty issues from general construction projects.

Running conduit and pulling wire.

Installing new devices included but not limited to panel boards, breakers, conduit, boxes, switches, receptacles, wire, lights, fans.

Assisting other trades on repair and construction projects.

Installing or repairing underground wiring.

Maintenance and testing on emergency lights, exhaust fans, etc.

Requirements:

Journeyman's electrical license (or ability to obtain one within 6 months).

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to operate required equipment.

Kledge of Microsoft Outlook.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to lift 50lbs regularly.

Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.

Deal tactfully and work effectively with others.

Must befortable working from heights or lifts.

Must befortable working in confined spaces.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
