Position Overview:
Children's Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Full Time Facilities Worker to maintain designated buildings, equipment and grounds and respond to various maintenance requests from staff. Retirement Plans:

What You'll Do:
Maintain safe, clean, and well-functioning buildings, grounds, and facilities by completing inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and upkeep activities. Perform general maintenance duties, including painting, carpentry, light electrical work, light plumbing, and other facility repair tasks, ensuring work is completed accurately and within established timeframes. Maintain and support the safe operation of agency vehicles, tools, equipment, and building systems while adhering to safety, licensing, accreditation, and agency standards. Support seasonal and operational needs, including landscaping, snow removal, and event setup and teardown, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and effectively. Identify, report, and address maintenance needs, safety concerns, damage, and repair priorities while maintaining accurate work orders and maintenance records. Coordinate and manage maintenance materials, supplies, parts, and tools to ensure resources are available to support facility operations. Foster a positive environment through responsive customer service and professional interactions with staff, clients, visitors, and community members, contributing to positive feedback regarding facility appearance and safety. Participate in maintenance team meetings, required training, quality improvement initiatives, and other assigned duties while safely performing physical job requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Experience Minimum two years experience in building and/or mechanical trades preferred. Knowledge, Skills, & Licensure Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and software utilized by the office. Valid driver's license required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires standing for extended periods of time.
