Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and fertilizing to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators for construction, landscaping, or hardscape projects Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and installing components to ensure efficient watering of lawns and gardens Identify plants accurately to support horticultural health and implement pest management strategies using appropriate pesticides safely Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal to promote safety and aesthetic appeal Execute snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure clear pathways and safe access Assist with construction projects involving hardscape installations like patios or walkways while adhering to safety standards Support gardening efforts by planting new greenery, mulching beds, and maintaining soil health for optimal growth Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience operating various landscaping and maintenance equipment Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, lawn care, tree trimming, and gardening practices Knowledge of plant identification to support healthy landscape design and pest management practices Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting for efficient water use Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other heavy machinery safely and effectively Experience in construction or hardscape projects such as installing pathways or retaining walls Understanding of horticulture principles to maintain plant health and landscape aesthetics Skilled in snow plowing operations ensuring safety during winter weather conditions Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure longevity and optimal performance Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they escalate This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to beautiful outdoor spaces.
