In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining grounds, landscaping, and various equipment to create safe, attractive, and functional environments. Your expertise in mechanical systems, landscape maintenance, and safety protocols will be essential in delivering high-quality grounds care and facility support. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and planting bed care to enhance aesthetic appeal. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems with precision and safety awareness. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and identifying plant species to promote healthy growth. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Apply horticultural knowledge for plant identification, pest management, and pesticide application following safety protocols. Carry out snow plowing and hardscape maintenance during adverse weather conditions to ensure safe pathways and driveways. Adhere strictly to safety procedures while handling tools, equipment, or chemicals to maintain a secure work environment. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with knowledge of landscape maintenance and groundskeeping practices. Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation such as mowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems. Familiarity with horticulture principles including plant identification, pruning techniques, and pest management. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with power tools preferred. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to outdoor work environments and chemical handling. Excellent physical stamina for tasks such as mowing, digging, lifting heavy objects, snow plowing, or tree trimming. Valid experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping roles with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
