Job Description

Part Time Maintenance & Mechanic Helper We're looking for a dependable, hands on person to help with a variety of property maintenance, outdoor, carpentry, trailer, and repair projects in Mt. Juliet and Lebanon, TN. This is flexible, part time work for someone who is comfortable using tools, enjoys working with their hands, and can take a project and run with it once they understand what needs to be done. Some projects will be completed independently, while others will involve working alongside me. What You'll Be Doing General property maintenance and repairs Equipment and utility trailer maintenance and repairs Replacing trailer flooring and other light trailer repairs Deck repairs, handrails, skirting, steps, and basic carpentry Landscape preparation and small retaining wall or rock projects Preparing areas for patios, grills, firepits, and other outdoor improvements Yard work, pulling weeds, cleanup, and landscape maintenance Pressure washing Gutter cleaning Tree limb and brush cleanup Installing or replacing simple outdoor fixtures and equipment Crawl space and under deck preparation work Moving materials, tools, and supplies Using hand and power tools Assisting with remodeling, repair, and improvement projects Other general hands-on maintenance as needed Who We're Looking For Mechanically inclined and comfortable with hand and power tools Has basic carpentry and general repair ability Dependable and punctual Takes initiative instead of needing every step explained Can work independently once given direction Comfortable working alongside someone on larger projects Pays attention to detail and takes pride in doing a job right Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions Comfortable working on gravel, uneven ground, decks, and around landscaping Able to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and repeatedly get up and down as the work requires Able to safely lift and carry approximately 50 lbs Reliable transportation Formal certifications are not required. Practical hands on experience matters more. Experience with construction, remodeling, farming, landscaping, automotive work, equipment or trailer repair, property maintenance, carpentry, handyman work, or similar experience is a plus. Schedule & Pay Approximately 5 to 15 hours per week to start, depending on workload Flexible schedule, with weekday morning availability, especially Fridays, being a plus $16 to $22 per hour based on experience and demonstrated ability Who This Is a Good Fit For This is a small operation, not a big company. I'm looking for someone who can handle general maintenance and repair projects independently while also assisting me on larger or more technical jobs. This could be a great fit for a retired or semi retired tradesperson, experienced maintenance worker, farmer, mechanically inclined person looking for steady side work, or a trade school student with good hands-on ability. There is room to take on more responsibility and additional work as you demonstrate your skills and reliability.
