Job Summary This position is a support role, reporting to the Facility Manager and working with all operations staff in ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of our laundry facility. The duties of this position include special facility cleaning, ground maintenance and equipment maintenance and repair. Tasks are scheduled on a rotating basis, so flexibility and the ability to work independently are essential.
  • Facility Cleaning:
    Perform special cleaning of the laundry facility, including elevated spaces, windows, floors, and such to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ground Maintenance:
    Assist with lawn care, general landscaping tasks, snow removal and other such activities to ensure the exterior grounds are well-maintained
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
    Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of facility equipment, including furnishings, washers, dryers, and other machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Rotating Schedule:
    Tasks are assigned on a rotating schedule, meaning not all responsibilities will be performed every week. Flexibility and adaptability are crucial.
  • Support Role:
    Assist all operations staff, who are the primary maintenance team, with various tasks and projects, providing support as needed.
  • Problem Solving:
    Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment and facility operations, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Initiative:
    Take proactive steps to address maintenance needs and improve facility operations without direct supervision. Job Skills/Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and flexibility to adapt to a rotating schedule of tasks.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in elevated and confined spaces.
  • Previous experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems is a plus.
