The Maintenance Assistant supports the Maintenance Department by assisting with the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the facility and equipment. This position performs routine maintenance tasks, helps with preventative maintenance, and assists the Maintenance Supervisor with projects as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, enjoys problem solving and hands-on work. This is a great opportunity for someone with general maintenance, construction, handyman, or mechanical experience-or someone who is mechanically inclined and eager to learn. What You'll Do Assist with general building maintenance and repairs. Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and the facility. Help with minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting projects. Assist with equipment moves, assembly, and facility improvement projects. Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, landscaping, or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Dependable with a strong work ethic and good attendance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders when needed.
