Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Worker to help maintain our property in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will perform preventive maintenance, respond to guest and staff requests, complete repairs, and ensure all hotel facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a positive guest experience. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical issues. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure hotel equipment and systems operate efficiently. Maintain swimming pool, spa, and other recreational facilities in compliance with safety standards (if applicable). Repair and replace fixtures, furniture, appliances, locks, lighting, and other hotel assets as needed. Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, boilers, water heaters, and other building equipment. Perform painting, drywall repair, and basic carpentry work. Ensure hotel grounds, parking areas, walkways, and exterior facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Follow all safety procedures, building codes, and company policies. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records. Assist with emergency situations, including power outages, water leaks, and other facility-related incidents. Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required. Support hotel renovations, room refresh projects, and property improvement initiatives. Participate in on-call, evening, weekend, and holiday maintenance coverage as required. Preferred Qualifications Previous hotel, apartment, commercial building, or general maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
