Position Summary:

The Maintenance Assistant aides the Maintenance Director in ensuring all physical plant related functions are in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Functional areas include Engineering, Building Maintenance, Grounds, and Safety. The assistant follows and implements policies and procedures, follows staffing plans, reports and budgets, coordinates with other departments, and ensures quality resident services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Aide in activities of engineering, maintenance and safety in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Maintain and effectively execute worker order and preventative maintenance programs.
• Monitor status of building and grounds; aide in planning for needed maintenance, repair, supplies, and equipment.
• Administer the Property/Community Risk Management Procedure Plan.
• Follow staff project assignments within budget and on schedule, adhering to quality and safety.
• Participate in surveys and inspections made by government agencies.
• Complete appropriate forms, reports, evaluations, and studies.
• Attend in‐service classes and staff meetings. Continue to develop job related knowledge, skills and abilities by participating in continuing educational opportunities for personal growth and development
• Perform other duties as assigned.

$18.00 per hour
