Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Make Ready/Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Perform make-ready tasks including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs to prepare units for new residents. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and other building infrastructure. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and ohmmeters. Execute welding, carpentry, and residential painting projects with precision and attention to detail. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Supervise or assist with maintenance operations ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures. Respond promptly to work orders related to facilities maintenance, repair requests, or operational issues. Oversee the repair of electrical equipment and mechanical systems while adhering to schematics and technical specifications. Support MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) activities by managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including HVAC system repair standards, plumbing codes, and electrical safety protocols. Experience Must be Bilingual (English & Spanish) Must have maintenance or make ready experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or residential/commercial building repair roles. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with electrical equipment repair is essential. Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair and plumbing system maintenance is highly desirable. Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and using tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues. Experience working with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping. Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is a plus. Knowledge of manufacturing or industrial maintenance practices is beneficial but not required. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing.
