ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Performs general clean-up and maintenance of city facilities; replaces light bulbs; cleans the bathrooms and ensures that they are adequately stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and soap; washes and waxes floors and shampoos carpets. Maintains and monitors inventory for cleaning supplies. Maintains all equipment used to perform work. Cleans and maintains parking lots for traffic department. Drives truck to haul trash. Performs general ground maintenance; cuts grass with lawn mower, weed-eater and edger; climbs trees to trim limbs. Paints the walls and fixtures; moves chairs, tables to set-up special group meetings and trainings. May perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs. Assists in the maintenance of air-conditioners and heating systems in accordance with accepted practices and procedures. Cleans and washes the air-conditioner filters on a weekly basis. Performs carpentry activities when needed including painting and masonry work as needed. Assists in maintaining good communication between staff, visitors and other business contacts. Must follow all rules of telephone courtesy in all telephone communications. Performs related work as required.

Local travel Minimum Qualifications Required Education and Experience At least three (3) months of general experience. Valid Licenses and Certifications Required Licenses or Certifications Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
