Job Overview The Maintenance worker assists the hotel's maintenance Supervisor with the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems. This position helps ensure the hotel remains safe, clean, comfortable, and in good working condition for guests and employees. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, safety-conscious, and willing to learn a variety of basic maintenance skills. Duties Assist maintenance staff with routine repairs and preventive maintenance throughout the hotel. Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance under supervision. Respond to maintenance requests from guest rooms and hotel departments in a timely and professional manner. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for maintenance issues and report problems to the supervisor. Assist with replacing light bulbs, switches, outlets, faucets, fixtures, filters, and other basic components as needed. Help with painting, patching walls, repairing doors, replacing hardware, and other general upkeep projects. Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and properly stored. Follow all hotel safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with guests and hotel employees. Assist with emergency maintenance situations when necessary. Complete assigned work orders and communicate the status of repairs to the maintenance supervisor. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
