Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Tech/Yard Associate to join our team. This role involves supporting landscape, construction, and maintenance projects by assisting with equipment operation, yard work, and general shop duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for outdoor work, and familiarity with various tools and machinery. Assist with landscape maintenance including mowing and lawn care Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery Maintain the yard by organizing equipment, cleaning tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning Follow safety guidelines while working with heavy machinery Skills Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery Strong understanding of safety procedures when working with construction tools and machinery Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in landscaping and maintenance This position is perfect for individuals passionate about outdoor work who want to grow their skills in routine maintenance, construction support, and equipment operation

Job Duties:

• Explain proper operation and safety features of equipment to the customer
• Assist in loading and unloading of equipment
• Cleaning and power washing equipment
• Keep the yard clean and free of trash
• Analyze the condition of the equipment for safety and operational purposes.
• Keep new decals on all equipment, replace all old and faded decals.
• Perform general maintenance of equipment in the yard.
• Perform lawn care of the lot
• Minor equipment repair
• Maintenance checks
• Perform other duties as requested
• Uphold Company safety standards and ensure appropriate procedures are followed

Technical Skills:

• Basic knowledge of construction equipment
• Knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Mechanical aptitude
• Desire to learn

Working Conditions:

• Most work will be performed outside
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents

Requirements:

Must have a valid Drivers License

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
• Must be able to lift/move approximately 50-70 lbs
• Attention to detail
• Customer service aptitude
• Equipment rental industry experience is preferred
• Must be able to pass a drug test

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$16.50 - $19.00 per hour
