Capri Apartments 602 W Ave M San Angelo Tx 76903 Position Summary The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the apartment community. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and assists with apartment turns to ensure resident satisfaction and property standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repair work on apartments, buildings, and common areas Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and drywall issues Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential problems Maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas to company standards Respond to emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours service as needed Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and local regulations Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as pressure washing, pool maintenance, and weather preparation Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry HVAC certification and/or EPA certification preferred Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely Strong problem-solving and time-management skills Customer service-oriented attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid drivers license may be required Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, and reaching Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to respond to on-call emergencies when scheduled
