The City of Schulenburg is currently seeking qualified applications for the position of Street Maintenance Operator to perform duties essential in operating and maintaining the City's Streets Waterways and other Facilities. DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES

Responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Street Department. Maintain and upkeep city streets, alleys, waterways, signs, and other facilities Operation and maintenance of heavy equipment such as but not limited to dump trucks, front end loaders, backhoes, rollers, excavators, street sweeper, and tractor & shredder as well as small engine equipment (mowers, weed-eaters, sprayers, etc.) Operate and maintain city vehicle during working hours. Self-starting individual, who follows instructions, can take charge, shows initiative to see that routine and special projects are followed through and completed in a timely manner without continuous prompting. Requires a demonstrated ability to be dependable, organized, flexible and service oriented. Expected to be available for and report to work in a dependable and timely fashion. Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
