This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance and operation of city owned ballfields and sports facilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepares and maintains athletic fields and sport courts to include dragging and striping fields, setting bases, mowing, weed eating, cleaning restrooms and trash removal Maintains, repairs area parks and facilities to include: mowing, weed eating, edging, tree pruning, play structures, pavilions, fencing, lighting, irrigation systems, sidewalks, parking lots, restroom cleaning, tree planting, and trash removal Operates and performs minor maintenance of mowers, edgers, blowers, trucks, trailers, utility vehicles, infield rake, and hand tools Identifies maintenance repairs and turns in related requests to supervisor Completes and submits required paperwork Assists with preparation of special events, tournaments, and league practices to include the set-up, staging, and clean-up Ensures City financial policies, procedures, and safety guidelines followed Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent One (1) year experience in maintenance or operating related equipment Preferred Qualifications One year experience in landscape, ballfield, or horticulture maintenance or related field Basic computer skills in Microsoft applications Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver's license • Thank you for your interest in the position.
