Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
: Under the general supervision of the Trails and Open Space Manager and direct supervision of the Trails and Open Space Foreman, performs maintenance for Draper City's Trails and Open Space program. Considerable emphasis is placed on safety procedures, working in a team-oriented environment, and operating equipment ranging from small hand tools up to heavy equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Constructs and maintains trails. Maintains city facilities, and trails and open spaces. Performs weed mitigation, tree maintenance, and native plant establishment. Operates and maintains vehicles and equipment. Completes work orders and prepares reports and a daily work log. Completes miscellaneous repairs and maintenance. Performs other related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Education- High school diploma or G.E.D. Experience
- Trails and open space experience preferred. Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Utah Driver License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
: Knowledge of- Effective equipment operation. Policies, procedures, equipment, and materials required for effective park/trails and open space related operations, maintenance, and repairs. State of Utah driver's license rules and regulations. Skill with
