Full Job Description Job Title:

Maintenance Assistant The Maintenance Assistant typically involves various tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of outdoor areas, facilities, and equipment. The specific responsibilities of the maintenance assistant/ yard tech can vary as needed but some of the common tasks are as follows. •

Grounds Maintenance:

This involves tasks such as trimming hedges, weeding, and general landscaping to keep outdoor areas tidy and aesthetically pleasing. •

Equipment Maintenance:

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment used in outdoor work, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and other machinery. •

Safety Inspections:

This may include inspecting walkways, fences, and other structures for damage or hazards. •

Irrigation System Management:

Responsible for upkeep, including checking for leaks and making necessary repairs. •

Snow Removal:

Clearing snow and ice from walkways and parking lots. •

Waste Management:

Proper disposal of yard waste and outdoor trash. This includes tasks like emptying trash cans and picking up trash up from around the facility. •

Pest Control:

Responsible for managing pests, such as rodents and insects. •

Record Keeping/ Documentation:

Keep records of maintenance tasks performed, materials used, and any safety concern. •

Routine Inspections:

Conducting regular inspections of equipment or facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues to the maintenance supervisor. •

Minor Repairs:

Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing leaks, or patching walls. •

Assist Maintenance Technicians:

Assisting Maintenance Technicians in complex repairs and tasks. •

Cleaning and Upkeep:

Clean, sweep and maintain common areas, workspaces, and tools to keep them organized and in good condition. •

Safety Compliance:

Ensuring that safety protocols and guidelines are followed during maintenance activities to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

Must be self-motivated. Good time management. Mechanical skills Capable of lifting 50-75 LBS. 1-2 years experience in some form of maintenance

Shift:

Mon-Thurs 12:00 pm to 9:30 PM (after a 60-day training period on day shift Mon-Thurs 6:00am•3:30 pm) Hourly rate DOE. $20•23 with a 10% shift differential once normal shift is started.

Pay:

$20.00•$23.00 per hour
