Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting other maintenance positions in the maintenance of the County's buildings, structures, fixtures, and equipment through projects involving carpentry work, painting, plumbing, and other construction, maintenance, and repair. Provides assistance in completing light carpentry work, repairing plumbing fixtures, and systems, and replacing light bulbs and filters. Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems within County buildings. Performs general building maintenance work to include painting, replacing lighting fixtures, windows and doors, and flushing drains and gutters. Assists other maintenance workers and takes direction from the lead maintenance worker. Assists in the setup of special events which may require occasional overtime and/or weekend work hours. Observes all approved safety and health policies and procedures pertaining to his/her work activities and performs all work tasks in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with County policy. Performs other assigned duties.
