Job Description
This position is responsible for troubleshooting problems at pump and well facilities , installing new equipment, and performing preventative maintenance in order to ensure proper operation of all water and sewer facilities. Installs, repairs, and performs routine maintenance of pump facilities . Identifies failures and makes repairs to sewer and water facilities . Monitors and observes activities of various contractors hired to install pump stations. Operates a variety of equipment and tools used on the maintenance of pump facilities . Performs general/preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper operation of pump. and well facilities. Inspects and tests systems to identify cause of problems and to ensure proper operation. Checks bypass pumps to ensure efficient and proper operation. Compiles a record for the history of pump stations and all repairs. Provides response to after-hours emergency calls or emergency situations. Prepares reports, forms, work orders, and miss utility tickets. Follows safety procedures and monitors work environment to ensure safety of co-workers. Observes all approved safety and health policies and procedures pertaining to his/her work activities and performs all work tasks in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with County policy. Performs other assigned duties.
