EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
High-school education or GED equivalency required. Vo-tech training or specialized training courses in associated fields preferred. Minimum three years' experience in building and equipment maintenance and repair required. Must have a valid Virginia driver's license and meet Pinnacle Living's risk management requirements to drive a company vehicle. Job Duties As assigned by management or by work order- works independently to install, maintain, or repair a wide variety of building architectural features such as doors, locks, windows, screens, fixtures etc. according to department policies, procedures, and practice. As assigned by management or by work order
- performs various duties requiring comprehensive mastery of a specific trade (HVAC, electrician, plumber, etc.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Able to lift 60lbs to chest height, Exposure to extreme weather conditions including occasional temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and below freezing. Able to wear personal protective gear correctly for long periods of time. Able to respond quickly to sounds and see and respond to dangerous situations. Able to use all types of power and hand tools. Able to climb ladders, maneuver through crawl spaces and attics bend, stoop, walk, and stand for long periods of time. Holiday, inclement weather and a flexible work schedule are required in facilities management to meet the needs of the job. Employees are required to be available for unforeseen circumstances and emergencies. Exposure to the sights, sounds and odors of a typical long-term care and health care environment serving senior citizens, some with dementia.
