MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Maintenance Assistant for a hotel based in McLean, VA. In this role, you will support daily facility upkeep, assist with general maintenance tasks, and help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Pay Rate $18.00 per hour Schedule and Hours As needed; flexible schedule including weekdays and weekends. Maintenance Assistant Duties and Responsibilities Take out trash from guest areas, common areas, and designated collection points every morning. Assist with routine building maintenance and repair tasks. Perform basic repairs such as changing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and completing minor touch-up work. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of hotel grounds, walkways, and common areas. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to management. Assist with room inspections and preparation as needed. Support housekeeping and hotel staff with facility-related needs. Follow all safety procedures and properly use maintenance tools and equipment. Assist with moving furniture, supplies, and equipment as required. Maintenance Assistant Qualifications and Requirements Previous maintenance, janitorial, groundskeeping, or related experience preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
