Job Description Colonial Behavioral Health (CBH) provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their families affected by mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. CBH proudly serves the citizens of James City County, the City of Poquoson, the City of Williamsburg, and York County. We are currently seeking a General Services Technician to join our General Services Department. This position is responsible for maintaining agency facilities and grounds in a clean, safe, functional, and well-maintained condition. The successful candidate will perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks while providing responsive and reliable support to agency programs and employees. Job Duties Job Responsibilities Perform general and detailed maintenance and repair work throughout agency facilities and grounds. Complete interior and exterior painting, including routine touch-ups and other finish work. Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs and adjustments. Conduct routine daily inspections of assigned buildings, grounds, and work areas to identify maintenance, safety, and repair needs. Respond to General Services work requests and tickets in a timely and professional manner. Accurately document completed work, repairs, and maintenance activities. Maintain tools, equipment, work areas, and assigned facilities in a safe and orderly condition. Assist with grounds maintenance and other facility-related tasks as needed. Prioritize and complete regularly scheduled and assigned work within established deadlines. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Work Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday Standard Business Hours Work hours may vary based on agency and program needs. Qualifications (EEO) Skills and Qualifications Ability to perform general facilities maintenance and make minor repairs and adjustments to building fixtures, systems, and equipment. Working knowledge and practical skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and grounds maintenance . Ability to prioritize assignments and consistently meet established deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and functional facilities. Ability to identify maintenance and safety concerns and respond appropriately. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with agency staff and service providers. Valid Driver's license and acceptable driving record at hire and throughout employment is required . Experience performing skilled trades or facilities maintenance work in one or more areas, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required .
