Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our team and help keep our outdoor spaces safe, functional, and visually appealing. In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks related to groundskeeping, landscaping, and equipment operation to ensure the property remains well-maintained and inviting. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work, strong mechanical knowledge, and commitment to safety will contribute to creating a beautiful and secure environment for all visitors and staff. Duties Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and gardening to maintain healthy lawns and gardens. Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools with precision and safety. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine repairs. Conduct grounds maintenance tasks such as snow plowing, tree trimming, planting, fertilizing, and pest management using appropriate pesticide techniques. Maintain safety protocols by inspecting equipment regularly, adhering to safety guidelines during outdoor work, and ensuring all tools are used correctly. Identify plants accurately for proper care or removal; manage landscaping projects including installing new features or hardscape elements. Support seasonal outdoor projects by preparing sites for planting or construction activities while ensuring environmental sustainability. Experience Demonstrated experience in outdoor work environments involving groundskeeping or landscaping duties. Mechanical knowledge related to operating power tools, lawn care equipment, irrigation systems, and grounds maintenance machinery. Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, pruning, planting, pest management, and plant identification. Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to outdoor work settings and equipment operation. Prior experience in snow plowing or winter maintenance is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
