Starting wage of $20.00 - $20.80, actual wage adjusted based on experience

Job Summary:
The Vehicle Maintenance Summer Laborer will report to the Vehicle Maintenance manager and supervisor and may also receive direction from the Vehicle Maintenance foreperson. This position will work alongside the experienced mechanics aiding in the repair and service of various snowcat implements (tracks, tillers, blades). As well as organizational tasks within the department, such as: moving machines around the VM garage/cat yard, reorganizing implements, and stripping old implements, machines, and equipment.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Assist in maintaining company equipment Assist in performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections Effectively manage use of time Clean and organize shop/vehicle maintenance work areas Communicate thoroughly and clearly with all VM staff Work in a safe and efficient manner Learn environmental aspects and impacts of the job and follow the environmental guidelines as established in the company Perform other tasks as assigned Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma is required Valid driver's license is required Interest in pursuing a career in auto/diesel mechanics and the ski industry Relevant experience is preferred but not required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 75lbs Strong communication skills Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be flexible and able to adjust to the requirements of the resort as needed Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of other company personnel and outside firms Superior attitude, self-motivating, and ability to work independently and collaboratively Superior written and verbal communication skills It is the policy of Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC to provide equal opportunity and employment to all staff and applicants.
