Job Description

The Maintenance III position performs a variety of work activities that support the District operations, maintenance, and construction activities. In order to meet the requirements of this position, applicant must have a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement, and five (5) years progressive experience at KID or eight (8) years progressive experience in construction, maintenance, landscaping, or other related fields outside KID. Examples of the essential duties of this position are: Identifying, operating, maintaining, and replacing/installing components of irrigation infrastructure; reading maps, blue prints, and charts relating to operations, maintenance, and replacement of water diversions, canals, and distribution systems; operating heavy vehicles and equipment, including those that require a Class A CDL, including dump trucks, towing multi-axle trailers, vactor trucks, and other equipment; and repairing a variety of irrigation piping (for example PVC, steel, and asbestos)
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Washington State Driver License including Class-A Commercial Driver License with Tanker endorsement and acceptable driving record; clean criminal record and drug screen; and ability to obtain within one year of employment the following certifications: Basic First Aid Certificate with CPR, Forklift Operator Certification, Flagger Certification, AC Pipe Certification, Competent Persons Certification, and Confined Space Certification.
