Qualifications English Full Job Description SUMMARY:
UUCW is seeking a reliable and skilled part-time Maintenance Specialist to perform essential upkeep and repair tasks. This position is responsible for ensuring UUCW facilities are functional, safe, and tidy and applying basic fixes to equipment and building structures. The ideal candidate has solid technical knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and ability to communicate effectively with supervisor about priorities and challenges that arise. The Maintenance Specialist works approximately ten hours per month, with a Flexible schedule based on the maintenance needs of the church.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Routine Maintenance:
Conduct preventive maintenance schedule activities, including replacing light bulbs, checking fire alarms, and changing HVAC filters.
General Repairs:
Perform minor plumbing (fixing leaks, unclogging drains), electrical (replacing switches, light fixtures), and carpentry (patching drywall, fixing locks, and doors) repairs.
Facility Upkeep:
Address general cleaning tasks, maintain floors, and paint walls as needed.
Groundskeeping:
Ensure exterior areas are clean, which may include landscaping, removing trash, and snow/ice removal from sidewalks during winter. Other tasks may be assigned by the Church Administrator.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be self motivated.
  • Must communicate effectively.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 pounds
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Sits, stands, bends, reaches and moves intermittently during work.
  • Flexible hours.
  • May be exposed to slippery conditions, odors, outside weather conditions, etc.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
