Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Entry Level Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice and kickstart your career in the exciting world of aviation! This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, and inspection, providing a solid foundation for a future in aerospace. You will work alongside experienced technicians to learn essential skills in aircraft systems, structural components, and maintenance procedures, all while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Assist with routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, and systems in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and industry standards. Support troubleshooting efforts by performing root cause analysis on mechanical or electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, to verify component dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Operate hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, and other fabrication tools safely to perform repairs or modifications on aircraft components. Assist with aircraft assembly, disassembly, equipment repair, sheet metal fabrication, and heavy lifting activities under supervision. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations. Support hydrostatic testing operations (oxygen bottles, fire bottles, regulators, etc.) Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow FAA-compliant maintenance and documentation procedures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework or certifications in aviation maintenance preferred. Basic electrical experience and mechanical knowledge are highly desirable. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, schematics, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ohmmeters, ammeters. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, calipers, micrometers safely. Knowledge of FAA regulations related to aircraft maintenance (such as FAR Part 43 & 145) is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively. Willingness to learn about avionics systems, airframe structures, vehicle maintenance techniques including military standards if applicable. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environments requiring standing for extended periods. Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing Ideal Candidate Mechanically capable and confident Interested in becoming an A&P technician Values steady hours and professional standards Understands the responsibility that comes with working on aircraft
