Job Description

Maintenance Position Summary:
The Maintenance position is responsible for performing major and minor repairs of buildings and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. This person must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This position requires an understanding or a willingness to learn how machinery operates and the ability to work and solve problems independently.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform minor and major repairs of buildings and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, grease bearings, seals, repairs or replaces broken parts etc. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required Obtain estimates for supplies & repair parts; orders parts as needed Continuously maintain a safe work area clear from debris, clutter, and dust Willingness to cross train and take on new tasks Maintain an excellent attendance record Must be safety conscious, have a positive attitude, and work well in a team environment
Language Standards:
Must understand spoken English.
Preference:
2-3 yrs manufacturing based experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to perform in a fast, labor-intensive environment with exposure to dust particles and loud machinery Capability of performing repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping Willingness to obtain MacDonald & Owen forklift certification A general understanding of the mechanics of a lift truck to identify troubles with the equipment A valid driver's license Strong attention to detail and accuracy Able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
