The Position :

An Assisted Living Maintenance professional ensures the safety, functionality, and comfort of senior living facilities through repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep. The pay rate will be $18 - $25 per hour based on skill set and experience.

Key Responsibilities Facility Maintenance:

Fix and maintain mechanical equipment, buildings, parking lots. Tasks include plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating and air conditioning system maintenance, and other repair/maintenance work as needed.

Preventive Maintenance:

Implement and follow preventive maintenance programs, including scheduled servicing of equipment, energy conservation measures, and upkeep of grounds and common areas.

Emergency Response:

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and after-hours emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff.

Housekeeping Support:

Assist with general housekeeping tasks such as floor care, cleaning of resident rooms, and maintenance of public areas.

Supervision and Coordination:

For supervisory roles, plan and schedule maintenance work, oversee staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations hhcsinc.com.

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inspections, often using computerized maintenance management systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications Experience:

Typically 1-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in assisted living, healthcare, or multi-family housing settings.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general repair work. Knowledge of logic controllers and preventive maintenance programs is advantageous.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and independently.

Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and vendors.

Availability:

Willingness to be on-call for emergency repairs and flexible with work hours.
